Senior Food Safety Auditor – Food Manufacturing, Leading Food Retailer

Up to £28,000 basic salary, company car plus excellent benefits (including pension, health insurance, profit share)
Location: Bristol

We’re looking for a Food Safety professional to lead the management and development of all food safety and quality management systems for one of the UK’s leading and most well known food-to-go retailers.

Working as part of the Technical Team, amongst your responsibilities you will manage and complete the Retail Food Safety Audits ensuring consistency and compliance with procedures. You’ll also collect, collate and communicate all relevant KPI data, and you’ll ensure that documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

In the role you’ll lead the development and implementation of quality standard operating procedures, as well as leading the HACCP teams in ensuring that the HACCP systems are maintained and updated.

From time to time, and along with the Technical and Sales Manager, you’ll investigate any non-compliance and incidents that cause serious food safety complaints, as well as customer complaints.

We’re looking for someone who is an excellent communicator, and has previous experience in a food manufacturing environment. It’s essential that you have a strong knowledge of Food Safety and Food hygiene, an awareness of HACCP and ideally a qualification in food technology or related subject.

You will have a minimum of 1 to 2 years experience within a food retail or food production background and will have excellent organisational and investigation skills. You will also possess effective influencing skills and have effective report writing skills, coupled with good IT literacy.
