Junior Accounts Assistant

Salary: £12,500 - £13,500 + Excellent Benefits

A dynamic Chartered Accountancy firm are currently looking to recruit an ambitious Junior Accounts Assistant. Established in 1995 the company provide specialist accountancy services to contractors and freelancers, and their aim is to become the most respected in this field in the UK.

This is a great opportunity to join an ambitious and forward-thinking company. You will be assisting a Personal Accountant who looks after a portfolio of clients. Your role as Junior Accounts Assistant will be to review and process client accounting information that is submitted on a monthly basis, as well as preparing VAT returns and advising clients on the VAT amounts due and due dates, and deal with all client queries that may arise as a result.

The ideal candidate for the Junior Accounts Assistant position will be part AAT qualified or at least have the desire to progress toward obtaining this qualification. You will have strong numeracy skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, plus the ability to maintain high levels of accuracy whilst meeting strict deadlines. You must possess a good work ethic, have a good sense of initiative and work well as part of a team. You will be proficient in Microsoft Office, all accounts processing systems are in-house whereby training will be provided.
