Production Manager
Based in Ashford, Kent
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + Excellent Benefits

A renowned supplier of innovative art materials is currently looking to recruit a Production Manager for their Ashford, Kent plant. Operating globally through a network of distributors, the company design products for professional designers and artists, and have also developed a foot-hold in the crafts and fine art markets.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic company in a position of real importance. Your role as Production Manager would involve taking direct responsibility for the day-to-day production and operational activities within the manufacturing plant in Ashford, and ensuring the site’s performance objectives are consistently achieved. You would be involved in both the pre-production stage (drawing up schedules, working out the human and material resources needed and estimating cost) as well as the production stage, overseeing production processes, ensuring that good quality products are being produced on time and in cost.

The Production Manager will also be involved with product design and purchasing. The role will closely integrate with other functions, such as marketing, sales and finance.

The ideal candidate for the position will be educated to degree level in an Electro-Mechanical, Production or Manufacturing Engineering related discipline, with significant hands-on experience in a high value added manufacturing environment. As an expert in your field, with demonstrable professional and technical credibility, you will be able to provide support to personnel, offering sound recommendations, providing and implementing solutions in order to continuously improve manufacturing methods and systems. You will be an effective leader who can not only embrace a wide range of products but also motivate and manage a diverse group of individuals.
