Buyer / Merchandiser - Retail
Based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + Excellent Benefits

The world’s foremost office products company with an offer including Technology, Office Supplies and Furniture are currently looking to recruit a high-calibre and ambitious Buyer / Merchandiser to join the Merchandising team at their High Wycombe Head Office.

You will have responsibility for the multi channel buying strategy across the UK and Ireland region. As Buyer you would work closely with the marketing and channel merchandising teams in setting an aligned strategy and developing and executing a category plan to ensure a compelling customer proposition is in place for each channel.

This role will be responsible for driving the category performance to exceed sales and margin targets through key activities such as effective supplier management, innovative promotional plans, improvement to stock efficiency and close price management.

The ideal candidate for the Buyer role will have proven commercial experience in buying or category management with direct responsibility for commercial performance. You MUST come from a Buying and Reselling background and not a Purchasing background. You will also possess significant experience in a previous commercial role. You will combine vendor management experience with an accomplished negotiation style, and will be able to demonstrate the ability to develop effective business relationship and influence cross functionally. You will have an organised approach with a strong analytical, communication and problem solving skills, and the ability to prioritise workload efficiently.
