This well-established international organisation operates at the forefront of its markets working across a diverse range of sectors including the design and manufacturing of electrical switchgear, property and iron castings. With four key sites in Oxfordshire, they have expanded overseas with a mix of joint-venture and wholly-owned operations in the Dubai, Saudi Arabia and India with a great deal of success.
In order to support the growth and development of the business we are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the international implementation of their chosen ERP solution MS Dynamics Axapta.
This is a highly exciting and challenging role that will offer the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of this £100 million business via innovative technology solutions and projects.

The Role

Although based in Thame in Oxfordshire, international travel will be required up to 3 months at a time in the first two years during the implementation of AX. You will manage the implementation of a centralised design of Dynamics AX both in the UK over 4 sites in Oxfordshire and abroad in Dubai, India, Saudi working closely with a 3rd party supplier and the internal project team. This is a major project for the business which will require process re engineering, standardisation and managing change within the businesses. Following this your time will be taken up with upgrade projects to the Dynamics AX system and a number of other different projects for other parts of the business.

Key Experience Required

You will be a highly adaptable IT Project Manager with experience in an international environment ideally within the manufacturing or logistics sector. We would also expect that you will have managed a multi site implementation of at least one ERP system ideally MS Dynamics Axapta. As a senior member of the team we would expect you to be educated to degree level or equivalent as well as be a qualified Prince 2 Practitioner. You will have demonstrated good communication skills and an ability to operate at a senior level and you will have managed change within a demanding environment.
