An exciting opportunity has opened for a Sales Manager to join a privately owned franchised motor retailer. They are seeking an exceptional individual to lead the used vehicle sales operation of one of their flag ship Ford Superstores. The applicant should have a proven track record either in the used vehicle re marketing sector or have an overt retail background in another industry.
The Role:
To develop sales and marketing plans and budgets to achieve agreed financial, marketing and sales targets including new cars, accessories, used cars, finance, overheads and all related items.
To organise, direct and control the activities of sales staff and administrative support to achieve plans and budgets, ensuring optimum use of all material, financial and personnel resources.
To act as Senior Manager on site, responsible for overseeing sales and aftersales departments, particularly becoming involved in customer and staff related problems to ensure satisfactory resolution.
To promote and nurture a customer care culture, delivering care levels consistent with the expectations of the manufacturer and the Company.
The Candidate:
The individual will need to be a dynamic team leader and business professional who has the ambition to grow a £10m turnover division of the Group and seek to grow sales volumes and revenues within an agreed 3 year business plan. The Superstore site can display up to 150 Ford Approved late model prime stock vehicles and the ambition is to move annual sales on a 3 year runway or less up from 1000 to 1500.

My clients are a privately owned franchised motor retailer representing 6 new car and 9 Service & Parts brands across South Essex.
The role may be suitable if you have a background as Sales Manager or Senior Sales Manager.
It is likely candidates will be commutable to Dartford, Gillingham, Brentwood, Romford and Essex.
