Role: 2nd Line Support Technician
Location: Hybrid – 2/3 Days in Office (Kettering) / Home / On-Rota
Duration: 6 Months
Day Rate: £250 – £300 (Inside IR35)
This is an exciting opportunity to work for a well-known manufacturer as a 2nd Line Support Technician, providing effective IT Support to resolve colleague issues that include incident, problem and change management. Being a point of contact for the service desk for escalated issues, you will be working roughly 2 days per week in their Office in Kettering in a hybrid format, with an on-call rota for some out of hours support.
Working with their internal IT team, you will be responsible for handling colleagues’ desktop, server, printing, mobile, networking, and application issues via phone, email, and site visits. You will be working with various technologies and software packages, which include Microsoft Support Solutions (Windows Server, Microsoft Office, Active Directory, Group Policy), Network Management (switches/routers, terminal configuration), and ERP/Warehouse Management systems (beneficial, but isn’t mandatory.
The successful candidate will require the following key experiences/qualities to be proficient in this position:
- Experience troubleshooting Microsoft Support Packages, e.g.
- Windows Operating System
- Windows Server
- Microsoft Office
- Active Directory
- Group Policy
- Proficiency in Networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, LAN, WAN, WiFi, Mobile)
- Some interaction/understanding with an ERP/Warehouse Management system
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
