Job Title: 3rd Line IT Support

Location: Telford, Shropshire

Salary: £25,000 – £30,000

Benefits: Bonus (6%), Over Time Payments, 25 days annual leave

Excellent opportunity to join a well-respected specialist IT Infrastructure support and IT Services Company based in the center of Telford. This company is rapidly expanding allowing this current excellent opportunity; now is a great and exciting time to join this business.

The Role

You will be working within an expanding team supporting a state of the art technical infrastructure used for delivery of managed solutions to the company’s client base.

You will support a range of technologies including:

Windows Server, Exchange, Office 2003 through to 2012.

The role will develop as the company grows as they are experiencing a fast pace of expansion.

This role involves 24/7 support and will involve shift work. The client is looking for someone who is comfortable in this pattern of work. Ideally you will have documented experience of working in a similar capacity.

The shift Rota will alternate between days and nights. This also covers weekends and bank holidays.

Key Experience Required

You will be an established and experienced 3rd Line Support Engineer with a very strong technical understanding of following skills/attributes:

  • Advanced Windows 2003/2008/2012 Server administration (Advanced configuration & troubleshooting)
  • Remote support/ trouble shooting
  • Strong networking skills – TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
  • Strong understanding of Network Security – Firewalls
  • MS Exchange 2010 troubleshooting and configuration
  • Experience of supporting MS SharePoint
  • Excellent communication skills.

You will be looking for a role where you can get technically involved with clients in a highly supportive and friendly environment.

This role will be a senior position within the existing support team, with occasional site visits and communication between customers and 3rd parties; therefore it is essential that you have excellent communication skills.
