One of the UK’s most recognisable and established high street names are currently looking to recruit an Accounting Clerk at their Head Office in Loughton, Essex. You would be responsible for the timely and accurate completion of a variety of accounting tasks, with a particular focus on ensuring inventory is recorded in the sub-ledger and that adjustments, credits and recharges are correctly and efficiently processed. You will assist in the maintenance of Fixed Assets on Sage, while the preparation of regular reports will also form a key part of the role.
The ideal candidate for the role will be AAT qualified with experience working as part of a high volume and fast paced accounts team. You will be a well organised individual, able to multitask and prioritise a workload effectively, with strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the confidence to liaise with people at all levels will be required. Good IT skills will also be required, with advanced Excel skills a particular advantage.
