I am looking for an experienced Activities Coordinator to join a lovely elderly care home in Sutton Coldfield. The home offers care to older people and prides itself on its friendly and homely atmosphere. This is a full time role and comes with a competitive salary.
The home as 30 residential beds providing 24-hour care and support for older people. The management and care team are committed to providing a high standard of care to all people. Every effort is made to provide everything necessary to fulfil individual’s everyday requirements. Everyone at the home is respected for their individuality and encouraged to maximise their potential.
As an Activities Co-ordinator you will co-ordinate and organise all social and recreational activity for the home. Your role will involve getting to know the residents so that you can plan activities to suit their individual needs.
You will need to think creatively to develop a diverse and engaging programme, enhancing the well being of the residents through providing a stimulating range of activities. Energy and enthusiasm is crucial, combined with empathy in order to listen to and understand our residents and their interests.
