I am looking for an experienced Admin / Office Manager to join a hi tech, cutting edge electronics manufacturer based in Birmingham.

The Administrator will support 3-4 Directors on a daily basis with a remit encompassing all aspects of running a busy office including:

– Fielding telephone enquiries and deal with all incoming mail, maintain electronic and paper filing systems
– Diary management and travel arrangements, , as well as handle other ad-hoc tasks as and when required
– Managing office facilities and ensuring the building is presented correctly.
Typing up correspondence, reports, and draft letters, as well as taking minutes at internal meetings.

You will report specifically to the FD and so can expect to take on specific tasks such linked to the ledgers, credit control and cash management from time to time too.

In short the role requires an office manager / admin manager / PA all-rounder.

The successful candidate will therefore have solid experience in an admin / secretarial function – ideally in a technology or electronics based environment or in a business that trades with large retailers.

You will have a lively and outgoing personality with exceptional planning skills and demonstrate excellent attention to detail. An interest / grasp of modern technology coupled with exceptional MS Office skills would be an advantage.

You will be familiar working in an environment where the person you are working for spends a lot of time away from the office – thus you will need to be able to work unsupervised and on your own initiative.
