We’re looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join an organisation and work across their services in across Devon, Cornwall and Dorset. This is a part time position working 28 hours per week with a salary of £21,112 which is £14.50 per hour.
The services covered by the post provide a range of support to disabled children and adults in various social care settings, such as community services, residential care homes, supported living services and day opportunities.
This role requires the post holder to support services with clinical and nursing tasks. The successful candidate will manage their time between services, ensuring that front line staff are adequately trained and able to carry out additional tasks such as gastrostomy care, tracheostomy care, medication management, assisted ventilation, epilepsy (list not exhaustive).
You’ll need to be a qualified nurse; RGN, RMN, RNLD, RSCN
You will have substantial experience and skills in:
- Working with disabled adults and children
- Design and implementation of training programmes
- Staff training and development
- Managing clinical risks
- Personalisation and support planning
As the advisory nurse for the area, we would like a candidate who has excellent interpersonal skills and abilities to support services to liaise with external agencies and authorities with regards to contract requirements and KPI’s.
You will also need to work flexibly, communicate effectively, and be able to negotiate and build effective relationships with a range of stakeholders.
The post holder would need to demonstrate good time and task management, ensuring service visits are efficient and make the best use of time allocated.
