A global provider of cutting edge corrosion protection and re-engineering solutions is currently looking to recruit an experienced and high calibre sales professional to drive new business across the West of England, Carlisle down to Gloucester and including Wales.

Offering an attractive basic salary of between £38,000 – £42,000 dependent on experience, uncapped commission, plus a fantastic benefits package including pension and fully expensed company car, this is a great chance to earn well plus play a key role as part of a leading international business.

The Role
Reporting to the Sales Director, you would be tasked with servicing, developing and expanding the company’s client base across your area. Key responsibilities will include…
– Promoting engineering solutions to consultants, power, oil, petrochemical, energy from waste and other industrial businesses
– Visiting customers to provide technical and sales support and generate orders
– Maintaining and updating the customer data base. In some areas will require significant effort.
– Enhancing customer contact with existing customers and developing new customer contacts.

You would be home-based however the role will involve extensive travelling within your territory. Due to the size of your area you will be required to stay away from home at times, candidates who cannot accept this requirement should not apply.

The Candidate
The role will suit a high calibre technical sales professional with a proven track record of winning new business and developing accounts within previous service-based businesses.

You will have…
– Experience within engineering, repair and maintenance services, or heavy duty coatings would be ideal
– An understanding of the procurement process and buying priorities within these fields
– Strong influencing skills, comfortable liaising at all levels with a consultative approach to sometimes complex sales
– Strong commercial acumen will be required, as will a good understanding of marketing principles.
