This large, well established consultancy and surveying organisation based in Cambridge are looking to recruit Building Control Surveyors
The Role:
Reporting to the Area Manager The position is based from Home or Office as appropriate
The job purpose is to deliver the Building Control service and to any jobs allocated within a Cambridge geographic area which may be adjusted from time to time due to workload fluctuations
Day to day duties:
-Carrying out plans and checking of jobs allocated by the line manager
-Delivering a prompt and efficient inspection service to all allocated jobs
-Recording records of all work activities on the company database
-Carrying out any surveying tasks allocated by the line manager
-Attending the allocated area office when requested by the Area Manager/Directors
-Organising daily activities including planning, checking and inspecting
-Assisting in the development and maintenance of a client base and any potential new business.
-Carrying out a minimum of 20 hours relevant continual professional development per annum
-Communicate and discuss drawing and site issues
The Candidate:
The role would be ideal for an experienced Building Control Surveyor with experience in the maintenance sector including residential and commercial projects, or have worked in a role within a similar background
You must Have a good understanding of Building Regulations and approved documents.
You will have a CSCS Card and keep up to date with changes to Building Control requirements and associated documents
