Business Analyst required to join my Bolton based client and support them in a ground up review of the core operating applications, architecture and project delivery methodologies, as part of the strategic project team.
The review will include fulfilment options analysis; internal development costing, tender exercises and solution assessment but also includes a complete review of project management and delivery approaches with a heavy emphasis on the use of Agile techniques as a future standard. It would therefore be preferred that candidates have a background in both waterfall and Agile techniques (noting that a BA who has just worked in an informal delivery environment or read an Agile book is insufficient, an individual who has lived in a Scrum or other specific methodology environment, has the strength to influence the incumbent team and advise on how Agile could be adopted is required).
The project will also be focussed in an end to end process review and operational change strategy and so delivery in these areas is essential, with strong knowledge of as is/to be analysis and the running of process change workshops.
A business focused BA/PM with a track record of working on cross disciplinary teams towards the delivery of distinct projects;

Experience in producing detailed business requirement documents
Experience in producing functional/user specification for system developments;
Experience in the design of new systems from operational concept to user design specifications
Experience of in house development, package supplier, outsourcing and hybrid models
Ability to document operational processes, procedures and workflow using recognised standards (for example BPMN)
Experience of working in Agile environments
Supplier and outsourcing management, tender and solution evaluation techniques
Ability to define processes by flowchart and by Use Cases (UML)
