Due to growth my client, a global company based in Bristol, are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their sales team and take responsibility for delivering new business to senior level executives from fortune 500 companies.
I am looking for a Business Development Manager to proactively prospect in order to identify a strong pipeline of new business selling the companies range of global events and technology services across Europe, Middle-East and Africa.
In the role, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing the full sales cycle with a view of building strong and enduring personal relationships with new clients face to face. The Business Development Manager will take responsibility for generating additional revenue streams from commercial client’s to defined targets through skilled negotiation, creative sales proposals and gaining market share from competitors. You will be required to successfully research client, product and industry to build a complete understanding for each new prospect.
The successful candidate for the Business Development Manager will:
- Have a minimum of 4 year’s sales experience is essential
- Be a high level sales professional with a strong open, pitch, objection handling and closing skills
- Be analytical, financially astute and numerate
- Be a dynamic individual with excellent business development skills
- Be intelligent, professional, determined and a motivated individual who is not afraid to work hard to deliver results and enjoy winning business
Based in Bristol, the company have been established for over 20 years and employ 260 staff globally with revenues of £25 million per year with a 15% growth year on year.

The basic salary for the Business Development Manager is up to £52,000 with a realistic first year OTE (Uncapped) of £62,000 – £80,000 increasing to £127,000 – £150,000 in year three. In addition you receive mileage payed for travel, laptop, mobile along with 28 days holiday and additional time off over Christmas and New Year period, an additional half day’s holiday on the day of your birthday.
