This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a major International Blue Chip Software company in a role that offers excellent training and opportunities for travel. This position will focus on their highly innovative TMS software which already has an excellent reputation. Although the company are based in the West Midlands and you will be expected to be in the office some of the time they are reasonably flexible on where you are located.

The Role

This is a primarily new business sales role focusing on selling their Transport Management Software including their innovative desktop shipping software into new customers.

Mainly communicating at C and Director level you will be responsible for managing the entire sales process from initial contact through to closing the deal.

You will have internal resources such as Pre-sales, Technical and Marketing at your disposal throughout the sales process. A number of your leads will be provided by a dedicated team. The key target markets will be Retail, Life Sciences, 3rd Party Logistics (3PL), Automotive, Industrial, Banking and FMCG.

The Person

Our client requires someone who has a proven track record of Business Development within TMS or related logistics or desktop shipping software. The role will cover the UK and EMEA so you must be willing to travel.

We require someone with excellent communication skills and the ability to sell a software solution at a Senior Director / C-level.

You will have the breadth and versatility to function at both strategic and tactical level.

You will be highly creative and forward thinking and at the same time very organised in terms of setting priorities and time management.
