CAD Designer- Architectural Glazing
Design and Manufacturer / Installation – Commercial Clients
Up to £25,000 per annum
This Large established external envelope and architectural glazing Manufacturer/Installation organisation seek a CAD Designer- to work from their Oxfordshire division.
As CAD Designer you will be based in Oxfordshire working in an office based Design team.
You will work with the Design Manager and Managing Director at their factory.
This key position involves CAD design work on new build and refurbishment projects for architectural manufacture, windows and curtain walling.
Close liaison with architects and contractors will be required by the Designer.
You will work in a small team where close attention to detail is paramount.
The team focus on the design and manufacture of architectural glazing, aluminium, windows and curtain walling projects.
The projects are new build or refurbishment schemes, and are in the glazing or curtain walling industry.
The successful applicant must have a proven track record in the Architectural Glazing, Aluminium and PVC-U, Doors, Windows or curtain wall sector or be a recent graduate/construction qualified person with some experience.
You must have experience using a computer aided design software package on a daily basis (ideally AutoCAD Light).
The successful candidate must be commercially aware with good communication and project management skills.
Knowledge of the building industry and fenestration industry is desirable, but training would be given to the right candidate.
You may have worked as a Junior CAD Designer ,Draughtsperson, Draughtsman, Designer, Design Manager, AutoCad designer, Commercial Assistant or Detailer.
The business operates throughout the South East & midlands serving its clients from its Oxford based factory. Customers include Main contractors, local authorities and government bodies. They operate under several framework and partnering agreements. The company manufactures and installs commercial glazing for schools, hospitals, apartments and mixed use developments using approved and specified ‘system’ products. They can act as main contractor, but more often sub-contractor in new build and refurbishment projects.
