CAD Draughtsperson – Structural Steel
c. £35,000 plus holidays,Pension

This established structural steel and architectural metalwork manufacturer and installation organisation seeks a CAD Draughtsperson to work in their design team.

The Role
Reporting to the Design Manager, you will be working within the design department working alongside 5 other CAD Designers.

You will complete all CAD drawing requirements for details of structural steel work and architectural metalwork.

You will also produce drawings for the following: stairs, railings, walkways, steel frames, cladding, beams, columns, flanges and balustrades.

Alongside this you will read drawings and complete take off sizes for manufacture as well as dealing with general surveying questions. The role will involve doing occasional site surveys but will be mainly office based.

The Candidate
The successful candidate will have experience as a CAD Draughtsperson – ideally from the structural steel or architectural metalwork sector although consideration will be given to those from a fabrication company with metal experience.

You must have CAD experience in a CAD draughtsperson, draughtsperson or design engineer position.

It is vital that you understand CAD and have knowledge of 3D CAD software. You may also have knowledge of software packages such as Advance Steel (Graitel),Strucad or Teckla

The Company
They are a design, drawing, fabrication and site erection company based in Bristol. Formed over 35 years ago they have a working area covering the West and South of England. They provide a service to the industrial and architectural metalwork sector, with projects including small steel frames across a wide range of customers.
