An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced manager or deputy manager to join a small, well run care home based near to Bradwell. The home specialises in providing person centred care to elderly residents. The role comes with a good salary and a supportive senior management network. The owners are keen to fill this role as soon as possible and an immediate interview is available.
The role is based in a residential home for adults with dementia care needs. The home has had a recent CQC inspection and the outcome was good in all areas, so there are no issues with the home for the incoming manager to address. The owners are looking for a manager that can continue the good work carried out by the outgoing manager. They will also consider a strong deputy looking for their first step up into management and support will be provided to enable this to happen.
There are many duties involved in the role of Home Manager including:
- Lead and manage the staff team
- Create a homely atmosphere which in a service for elderly residents
- Liaison with relatives and friends
- Financial control of the service including profit and loss
- Staff recruitment, training and development
Ideally you will be currently managing or the deputy of a similar service and you must have experience of working in a residential setting. You will have knowledge of dementia care needs and an excellent understanding of CQC requirements
You will ideally hold NVQ Level 5 Health & Social Care and Registered Care Managers Award, or be willing to work towards this and the employer will meet the cost of this and will provide the support needed for study. Due to the location of the home it would be preferable if you have your own transport.
