My client has a small branch in Exeter. It is a young service, currently managed by another Registered Manager from a nearby service. It’s now time for a Care Manager to come in to take over the day to day running of the branch and encourage its growth. The new Manager won’t take over registration straight away, the branch will need to hit 500 hours a week first, then the promotion will be rewarded, along with an increase in salary.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager to join a dedicated organisation who have some exciting growth plans over the next few years. You will be the foundation of a service that is full of potential and just need the right manager to guide it to success. Or it could even suit a confident Deputy wanting to step into a Registered Manager’s role but within a steady pace.
Specific tasks include:
- Ensuring policies and procedures are updated and robust
- Being a positive voice for the service by communicating with service users and their families in a dignified and person-centred way
- Contributing to the strategic planning and development of the company
- Continually and actively find new customers for the business
This position is based in the company’s Exeter branch, so please ensure that’s within a reasonable commutable distance for you before you apply.
To be the right person for Care Manager role you will need direct experience of managing a domiciliary branch.
We also need you to have prior experience of supporting the expansion of a domiciliary care service by having a direct impact in the growth of the business through increasing the quantity of care hours that the service provides to clients each week.
It’s important that you also have the following:
- Level 5 in Health and Social Care leadership and management or willingness to work towards
- Excellent communication skills, written & oral
- At least 2 years managerial experience in domiciliary care – Deputy or above

The basic salary for the Registered Manager role is between £28,000 – £30,000 per annum plus commission. They will also do regular salary reviews based on care hours.
