My client, a well-established, leading provider in home care services with 10 years’ experience in providing high quality care to people in their own homes, are looking for Carers/Support Workers to join their growing team in the York & surrounding area. As a Care Worker you will be joining a reputable home care company who invest in their staff, are supportive and work as a close, friendly team. You will receive a free DBS check, be equipped with the highest quality CMS systems, including smart phone, a free uniform and no on-call duties, as well as receiving 42p per mile and excellent rates of pay. Duties of the role will include;
• Assisting the clients with daily living activities, such as washing, dressing, feeding
• Maintaining the dignity of the client at all times
• General domestic and household duties as required
• Maintaining a safe environment at all times and reporting any concerns
• Responding to the needs of the client in any other appropriate activities
Full, paid training is included, comprising of a 5 day induction and ongoing training and development opportunities. You will also receive up to 5.6 weeks holiday a year, uniform, smart phone, and flexible working hours – full or part time.
You will ideally hold an QCF 2 qualification on Health & Social Care, however full training will be provided for people who wish to start and progress their career in care. A full drivng licence and your own vehicle is also essential.
A competitive mileage rate of 42p will be paid for all travel after the first 6 miles from home to your first care call, after the first 6 miles from your last care call to home, and for all travel between care calls.
Commencement of employment will be subject to a satisfactory DBS check.
