Casual Support Workers
Learning Disabilities – Residential / Community
Salary: £6.72 to £8.14 per hour + annual leave entitlement
Location: Oxford and Oxfordshire
We are currently recruiting casual support workers to work within residential and community based care setting, supporting vulnerable adults with Learning Disabilities.
As a casual support worker you will work alongside an established support team who enable service users to live independently in their own homes. The clients have a range of disabilities including learning disabilities, challenging behaviour, mental health issues and some more complex needs.
Support workers promote a supportive and caring environment, as part of a team, providing practical assistance and emotional support enabling service users to achieve their desired level of self-sufficiency and integrate into the community.
The atmosphere within the home is described as being one big family where by both the support team and the residents enjoy working together.
We are preferably looking for candidates who have experience working with a similar client group and qualified to an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care. However if you are a caring and empathetic person who is passionate about improving the lives of individuals with learning disabilities, then we would like to hear from you.
