One of the UK’s largest and foremost law firms is currently looking to recruit a Commercial Accountant within the Group Commercial Growth dept in Sheffield. Working alongside the Commercial Growth leadership team whilst reporting into Finance, you would provide regular spend reporting and forecasts while ensuring appropriate financial controls are in place for the overall annual budget.

The Role
As an experienced Commercial Accountant you would lead and manage the key financial planning processes within the Group Commercial teams, challenging assumptions, and ensure finance systems are updated accordingly. Financial planning includes budget, reforecast, EFO and 5-year planning; whilst also supporting information required for the Director of Commercial Finance to support Group Executive reviews.
You would play an active role as part of management meetings with particular regards to budgets, forecasts, strategy and day to day spending controls. As such the role needs an incumbent who is a subject matter expert with the expected levels of experience, knowledge and skills; gaining an in-depth understanding of the commercial value drivers that impact on a wide range of clients and sectors in the legal services market.

You will have strong organisation, prioritisation and excellent communication skills and must enjoy working in a team, adding value to the team dynamics and helping to achieve goals.
