We're looking for a talented Compliance Engineer to work for our client.
They want to recruit someone with a background in product design or mechanical engineering within the electrical consumer products sector.

The Role:
In the Compliance Engineer role you’ll be negotiating on and then applying all Worldwide, European and UK standards and legislation relating to the manufacture of electrical professional and consumer products.
Specifically, you'll be tasked with the following:
- Liaising with peer group manufacturers and the relevant legislative bodies to agree on both new and amended standards
- Working with and influencing the relevant trade bodies to ensure your interests are protected as best they can
- Liaising with the manufacturing plant to ensure all of this is communicated effectively and adhered to

The Candidate:
The ideal person for this Compliance Engineer role will have a background in product design or mechanical engineering within the electrical consumer products sector and have adhered to UK, European and Worldwide standards and legislation as part of the design process.
You will need to be:
- An innovative problem solver with the ability to appreciate the problem and explain the solution
- Able to work unsupervised yet remain part of a collaborative team matrix
- Able to travel worldwide 6-10 times a year
- Almost obsessive around attention to detail
In addition, you'll ideally need either a mechanical or electrical engineering degree (or equivalent).

The Package:
Basic salary: circa £55,000 per annum plus a range of benefits expected at this level.
