Job Title: Configuration & Release Manager

Location: Walsall

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 + 10% Bonus and other excellent benefits

This is a key position in which you will own the configuration and release of a key business application. This will include scheduling, coordinating and managing software releases across various projects and portfolios. You will ensure that all releases are packaged and ready (fit for purpose) to meet all criteria such as content and quality of code.

You will have commercial experience of working in a similar role and have expert knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). You will have a good understanding of project management and its associated duties and will have a good understanding of project delivery lifecycles.

You will be responsible for organising all risks, issues and dependencies that affect release scope, schedule and quality. You will champion continual improvement for the deployment and release strategy.

Expert knowledge and proven experience of;

  • Managing software releases into multiple environments
  • Scheduling, Coordinating and Managing releases into various portfolios
  • Creating reports including impact analysis and configuration status
  • Expert knowledge of Software development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Awareness of project delivery lifecycles

This role demands an individual with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. You will communicate with people across all levels and specialisms within the business and you will be highly skilled in time, process and people management.
