Contracts Manager –Construction
C.£65k per annum Car/Allowance, Pension,Laptop, bonus
As a result of recent expansion, an established interiors company seeks to recruit a permanent Contracts Manager based in Essex to manage multiple projects across the UK
Your role as a Contracts Manager sees you tasked with looking after a number of sites. The projects are refurbishment, fit-out and new build construction. These include the commercial, leisure, health care,housing and rail sectors.
Reporting to the Construction Director, you will be responsible for making sure all projects are successful from start to completion. You will be involved with setting the build programmes, as well as health and safety. You will be responsible to ensure all projects are managed by the Site Managers correctly and completed within budget and on time. You will head a team of Project Managers and Site Managers and monitor and control site prelims in conjunction with the PMs.
The role will require attending CVR meetings and producing tenders and risk assessments, as well as COSH Assessments. You will also administer building contracts such as JCT or NEC forms.
The projects will be across the UK predominantly in London and Essex with values ranging from £0.5m to £6 million and will be up to 6 projects at any one time.
The successful candidate will have experience in a Contracts management, Construction Management role or a similar management role managing multiple sites – ideally from within the construction sector. It is desirable to have MS Project Experience but not essential.
Established for nearly 150 years with experience in new build, refurbishment and modernisation projects on a National basis across the UK. They deliver both on partnering and traditional forms of contract and cover all sectors within construction.
