Customer Liaison Quality Engineer
A leading automotive manufacturer are looking to recruit a Quality Engineer for the team in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands.
We are looking for someone to work as a Customer Liason Quality Engineer
General Duties will include:
-Being key contact on customer sites between the customer and quality departments in matters of quality of the products and services, and implementation of corrective as well as preventative actions.
-Working closely with the customers, quality and production teams, the liaison quality engineer is responsible for conducting the initial incident reports, organising the initial precautionary measures, ensuring the follow up of action plans in place, and contributing to the resolution of various customer quality issues.
-The customer liaison quality engineer will be required to put in place and monitor preventative actions through regular visits to customer production facilities, in particular during a launch of new parts mass production.
– The successful candidate will be expected to be able to work across multidisciplinary teams and at all levels within the company and their customers.
As Quality Engineer you will have experience in QE from an automotive manufacturing company.
This opportunity will be best suited for a candidate with a qualification in quality management or equivalent on-the-job experience in a quality role in manufacturing.
To succeed in this position candidates must be autonomous, have professional attitude, respect confidentiality and be proactive in all internal and external communications.
They are looking for ability to show initiative and decision making, analytical thinking and problem solving skills; ability to stay calm and collected under pressure.
Proficiency in quality management tools such as 8D is essential in this position.
Experience of working in the automotive sector is a strong advantage. Any experience of plastics manufacturing will be desirable.
A clean driving licence is essential, as the role will involve regular travel to customer sites within the UK and potentially EU.
The role may be suitable if you have a background in any of the following: Quality Engineer, Quality Manager, QA Engineer, Senior Quality Engineer, Engineering Manager.
