We are currently recruiting for a client who is looking for a Deputy Manager to join their lovely 40 bedded residential home in the Surrey area.
The home caters for the elderly and those with dementia and age related conditions. The strong team in place at the home will provide a good network of support for the successful candidate and frequent training is provided.
The client is looking for an experienced deputy manager who shows strong leadership skills and holds person centred values to mirror the ethos of their company. There is a competitive basic salary on offer.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
–Taking full responsibility of running the service in the Registered Managers absence.
–Ensuring that the company’s policies and procedures are fully and consistently implemented.
–Assisting the Registered Manager in the recruiting and training of staff in order to develop the workforce to meet requirements.
–Ensuring that care plans are being effectively communicated to care workers and that workers understand their responsibilities and duties.
–Taking effective action to address areas of dissatisfaction or poor performance.
–Must hold L5 or be willing to work towards this.
–Must have at least 3 years of experience in a senior role within a care setting.
–Must show leadership potential and be patient and personable.
–A Full UK Driving License and access to a vehicle is essential for this position
