An experienced Deputy Manager needed for a learning disability residential service in Kings Norton. Salary £27K plus bonuses.
My client has been established for over 2 decades, providing care and support to adults with a variety of different needs to include learning disabilities, mental health, challenging behaviour, autism and forensic histories.
On their site that consists of several detached services, they are looking for a Deputy Manager, who essentially will be the House Manager of one of the 6 bedded services, and report to the Registered Manager who oversees the whole site.
This is an exciting opportunity for an established Deputy who is looking for an opportunity to run their own service, but without the registration responsibility.
The Deputy will be supernumerary, working varied shifts including 9-5, 12-8, 7-2, 2-10 etc including alternative weekends.
The Position:
As the Deputy Manager you will;
- Act as a direct report for all Team Leaders and Support Workers that are within the home
- Oversee the creation of care plans, risk assessments and other necessary documentation
- Monitor rota management, dealing with any queries as they arise
- Complete audits, supervisions and appraisals
The Person:
To be considered for the Deputy Manager role you will need;
- Diploma Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care, or equivalent, as minimum
- Proven experience of working within a similar service supporting adults with learning disabilities/autism/challenging behaviour/mental health
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends
- Fully vaccinated against Covid
- To be highly organised with good attention to deal
