Our client is a children’s home in Stoke on Trent who are currently looking for a Deputy Manager to join one of their homes in Stoke on Trent. They are looking for someone that has experience of dealing with young people along with the NVQ / QCF Level 3 in Children and Young People or equivalent. The main responsibility is to ensure the overall day to day running of the home and support the Registered Manager.

* Experience as a Deputy or Team Leader within a children’s home setting
* Managing the home in the absence of the Registered Manager and lead shifts
* Responsible for completing relevant paperwork
* Available for the occasional on-call shift and be able to work long shifts

The Person for this role must have a passion working with children and have experience of working within this sector before previously. The successful person will be qualified at NVQ / QCF Level 3 (Children’s). It is desirable that you are a driver and have access your own vehicle. This role would also suit a Team Leader or very experienced Senior Worker.

Our client has won various business awards in 2012 and has a number of children’s homes throughout Staffordshire offering support to Children with complex emotional and behavioural needs using therapeutic intervention.
