Job Title: Desktop Support Specialist, 1st/2nd Line

This an excellent opportunity for and experienced 1st/2nd line desktop support specialist to work in an exciting and challenging support role with a Blue Chip Software/ERP company that offers excellent training.

The Role

The purpose of the role is to provide day to day technical support to employees for network infrastructure and internal desktop systems software and hardware.

You will support users, deskside in the UK and remotely for users in Europe and also home based workers.

You will support a variety of client devices such as desktops, laptops and tablets and applications including MS Office, Google Apps, GoToMeeting, JIRA and VPN Access.

As well as you usual support duties you will also get involved in project work and may occasionally travel to other sites in Europe such as Paris, Antwerp, Frankfurt and Amsterdam.

You will also participate in their user training programme providing instructor led training face to face or online where required.

Key experience required:

You will have at least three years’ experience in a 1st/2nd line support role where you have supported both UK and International users.

You will have a good knowledge of desktops, laptops and tablets with string experience of supporting most of the following:

MS Office, Google Apps, GoToMeeting, JIRA, VPN Access, Networking, Server Backup Programs and VOIP.

You will have experience in using helpdesk and ticketing systems and will be looking for role where you get to use your initiative and that will allow you to take responsibility.

We would expect you to have gained some IT qualifications such as MSCA or MCITP or you will possibly have a degree in an IT related subject.
