As a Development Manager with the learning disabilities home care sector, you will identify and drive new business growth within existing and new Local Authority areas. Working alongside operations colleagues, you will work with Commissioners and Business Partners to deliver high quality services. With extensive experience in new business development within the Learning Disability, Mental Health and other vulnerable group sectors, you must demonstrate a proven track record of working with Commissioners to grow existing business and to develop new business.
A development manager is required to have exceptional writing skills to a level of producing tenders, service proposals, progress reports, and strong communication skills in all forms. You will support the local teams to identify and secure high quality accommodation for new services working alongside existing and new housing partners.
You will need to be proficient in project management, with an ability to manage a complex and varied workload. You will have the aptitude and willingness to learn quickly and apply learning in a variety of circumstances. Your ability to work effectively within a team will ensure seamless service delivery as developments come on stream. As well as being a determined team player you will also be capable of working independently and using your own initiative.
Reporting to the Development Director, you will also manage a small team of Referrals and Assessment Managers.
NVQ level 4 or above in health and social care or a similar qualification.
This position will require travelling so driving licence required.
