Title: Development Manager (Web Projects)
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 + Benefits (Inc Bonus & Pension)
My client is the holdings group for a number of established companies and brands within a specific vertical market in the UK. The group includes a well-known franchise business, retail business and wholesale business. An opportunity has arisen for a Development Manager (web projects).
You will manage a web design team which designs, develops and delivers exciting E-Commerce solutions for an established company with a long term vision. Responsible for a team of Developers and Testers, you will work closely with the web marketing team to ensure that development is aligned to both the SEO and PPC strategies.
E-commerce is at the heart of my clients business. You will manage the web development team, ensuring web initiatives and projects are delivered on time and within budget. You will lead the .Net development team in building E-Commerce sites relating to different parts of the business however, you will not be required to know coding personally. You will document business requirements and manage the production of functional specifications to ensure they are clearly defined. You will work with Developers to provide estimated completion of works as well as producing and maintaining release schedules for deliverables. You will contribute to the design and development of test plans for all related sites. You will liaise with other IT departments in the business to ensure that solutions are aligned across all systems and sites. Provide effective management information so the Senior Management Team / Directors on projects and their progress.
The role is based at the company’s Head Office and is easily commutable from Liverpool, St Helens, Warrington, Wrexham, Northwich and Chester.
You will already be working as a Development Manager, E-Commerce Team Leader or Project Manager.
