Estimator (Joinery/Fit Out)
c. £45k-£50k + car allowance + bonus
I am looking for an experienced Joinery Estimator to join a large well established Joinery and Interior Fit Out specialist based in London
Reporting to the Chief Estimator you workload will be on a project by project basis.
Specifically you will be tasked with both the management of existing joinery projects – to ensure opportunities are being developed and maximised on an on-going basis and new business opportunities.
In this area your remit will include responsibility for preparing and estimating each element of the joinery fit out project, ensuring that finance and design briefs are met at all times.
Naturally this will mean you producing tender and quotation proposals along with relevant financial and supporting descriptive information (including building up rates to include labour and material costs) and pro-actively follow up these tenders and turn them into sales. This will include the requirement to attend client meetings to present the tender.
The role would be ideal for an experienced joinery estimator preferably from within the joinery/fit-out industry but they will also consider candidates from a contractor background. Either way you will be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of financials for projects with a value up to £12,000,000
You must be an excellent and proactive communicator and be adept at being the interface between the prospective client, the business and all relevant suppliers. You must also have the ability to read and understand drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
The company were formed over 50 years ago and have a turnover of £20m. They are a bespoke joinery manufacturer and multi trade fit out service provider for commercial fit out projects including high end residential.
If you meet at least the minimum criteria and are a looking for a role that provides a high degree of autonomy and responsibility yet still gives you a ‘team’ feel then I would encourage you to apply.
