Female Part –Time Housing & Support Worker
Women’s Refuge
Salary:£17,418.46 per annum pro rata
Hours: 22.5 hours per week, Monday to Wednesday

Location: West Wiltshire

We are currently recruiting a part time Female Support Worker to work at a Woman’s Refuge in West Wiltshire.

The Role:
As a support worker you will work alongside an established support team to provide emotional and housing related support to our customers fleeing domestic abuse, supporting them to move on to permanent accommodation.

Your role will be vital in ensuring the support needs of the residents are met. You will be liaising with external agencies and signposting service users for additional support, as appropriate, to meet individual needs.

You will also need excellent customer service skills and to ensure that safeguarding principles are upheld and anti-discriminatory practice is adopted.

As part of your role you will assist service users with applying for and maintaining benefits, and ensuring that they are aware of their contractual obligations when they move on into new accommodation.

The Person:
The successful applicant will need to be committed to working in a non-discriminatory manner, be sensitive to the customer’s needs and able to build interpersonal relationships.
You will need to maintain your composure under pressure be organised in your approach and have good English and IT skills.

You will be empathetic, a good listener and able provide practical support.
It is essential that you have a full clean driving licence.

• £17,418.46 p.a. pro rata
