Our clients are a fast growing Geotechnical Design consultancy. Due to expansion they are currently looking for a Geotechnical Design Engineer. This is an office based role and you will be dealing with multiple design requests.
The role of the Geotechnical Design Engineer
- Prepare calculations, drawings and other documents and ensuring these are controlled during the execution of projects under your control
- Deal with Design requests for foundations/Slope Stabilisation
- Recommendations for remediation of contaminated land
- Geotechnical advice to both clients and to the project engineers
- Regulator and Client Liaison
- Technical Review of Reports

- Piling Design
- Embedded retaining walls
- Ground Improvement
- Slope Stabilisation
- Basement Design Assessment
- Basement Ground Movement
The Candidate
The perfect candidate for the Geotechnical Design Engineer role will have the following qualities and experience:
- Msc in Geotechnical Engineering or equivalent is essential
- Previous experience working as Geotechnical Engineer would an advantage
- Excellent technical report writing skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Willingness to travel as some client visits will be required
