You would be joining a team of experienced, ambitious and forward-looking Consultants and Engineers and be provided with an opportunity to develop your skills while playing a role in the ongoing development of the business. Working as a Graduate Consultant your responsibilities would include;
o Gathering, understanding and analysing engineering and asset-based information
o Investigation into the root causes of inefficiencies and problems and developing solutions to address them
o Evaluating and quantifying the benefits of various options and actions, utilising financial, operational and engineering methodologies and metrics
o Creating presentable and useful graphs, tables and slides from information and analysis undertaken
o Preparation of client outputs and reports, presenting findings to clients and recommending actions
o Forming relationships with clients to assist in moving the work forward
Work is mostly remote at the moment and projects will vary in nature, scope and objectives but the central task is delivering advice to clients in order for them to extract maximum value from proposed capital equipment spend and existing assets. The specific scope of work and tasks will vary with each assignment. As you gain experience you would take greater responsibility in projects undertaken.
In time much of the consulting will take place on client sites so you will need the right to work in the UK, hold a full UK driving license and be happy with travel/regular overnight stays. Travel and expenses will be covered.
o Qualified to degree or postgraduate level in a relevant area. This could be Engineering (Mechanical, Materials, Aerospace or similar), Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science or similar
o Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability
o Task orientated. Ability to build effective relationships
o Conscientious, methodical and able to work on your own initiative
o A self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
o Ability to deliver under pressure, be enthusiastic and responsible
