Graduate Quantity Surveyor – Architectural Glazing
up to £25k +holidays+pension

An established architectural glazing contractor are currently looking for a graduate quantity surveyor to work from their Tyne And Wear division in Gateshead.

The Role
This office based role will be assisting the Quantity Surveying team working on architectural glazing projects throughout the UK ranging in value between £100k and £2m

Reporting to the Commercial Director the role will cover all aspects of pre and post contract works.
Other duties will include cost planning, reviewing of tender documentation, contract administration, valuations, variations and final accounts. Projects will include private clients, education, health, residential in the public and commercial sectors.

The role will require working closely with installation teams to complete projects on time and within an agreed budget and will be required to gather records of work done as well as the general cost control over each contract.

The Candidate
The successful Graduate Quantity Surveyor must have either some experience in a similar role working for an organisation in the architectural glazing construction sector.

Ideally you will have completed or be currently studying for or have studied a HND, HNC or Degree in Building Studies/Construction Management or Quantity Surveying, although someone who has at least one year’s work experience in this area would be considered.

The Company
Established over 15 years ago the organisation supplies and installs architectural aluminium glazing products for the commercial construction sector. They have a manufacturing facility with multi CNC functions and trained and accredited installation teams. Based in the north-east of England they operate nationally. Industry sectors include housing, education, health, office, industrial and domestic.
