Title: Head of IT Services & Operations
Salary: £60,000 to £65,000 + Benefits (inc Bonus & Pension)
My client is the holdings group for a number of established companies and brands within a specific vertical market in the UK. The group includes a well-known franchise business, retail business and wholesale business. Within the group are two large call centre environments and a number of operational departments which are supported by the IT teams. An opportunity has arisen to join this exciting business as the Head of IT, managing the combined IT services that support the group.
You will be responsible for the day to day IT Operations and IT Services teams, defining and implementing operational standards. You will manage a number of IT teams including a service desk function and IT operations team. You will evaluate the current internal and external skills cover and ensure IT operations can assist the business during typical operating hours. You will implement SLA’s for both internal and external teams ensuring service delivery to the business is ongoing. Using ITIL practises, you will implement change, incident and problem management as well as ensuring service availability, capacity and continuity. You will be responsible for information and system security. You will liaise with stakeholders within the business, looking at ways to reduce costs and improve performance levels. You will deliver financial targets of the group as well as operating an effective CAB process. You will also ensure that records are kept and maintained which will include an asset register, license database, service catalogue and enterprise architecture documentation.
You will be an experienced Senior IT Manager with prior experience of managing cross-functional IT teams such as service delivery and IT operations. Despite being a strategic role, you will have hands on skills around Microsoft technologies, virtualisation and ip telephony. You will have a minimum 5 years’ experience of managing a technical operational area. You will have a demonstrable ability in developing business strategy. You will have experience of planning and implementing business continuity and disaster recovery as well as experience in virtualised data centres and outsourcing from the cloud. You will be an effective communicator, able to communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the business.
The role is based at the company’s Head Office and is easily commutable from Liverpool, St Helens, Warrington, Wrexham, Northwich and Chester.
You will already be working as a Head of IT, Head of IT Operations or Head of IT Services.
