Salary: £23,000 – £25,000 + bonus scheme
Location: Corby
We are currently working with a client who is looking for a Care Home Manager for a 22 bedroomed residential home caring for elderly residents who require dementia care.
The position:
The role involves all aspects of managing the home with the assistance of a supportive and experienced Deputy Manager. The home has a good CQC rating with no issues and the current manager has been in place for a number of years and is only leaving due to personal reasons.
There are many duties involved in the role of Home Manager including:
• Overseeing the day to day management of the home
• Staff recruitment, retention and training
• Monthly ordering and stock control of medications
• Carry out staff supervisions and appraisals
• Assist with and action appropriate action following inspections
• Carry out regular audits
• Undertake investigations, disciplinary, concerns, complaints and issues in the home
The person:
The successful candidate will be an experienced Home Manager or Deputy Manager looking to step up to their first management role. You will have worked in a care home setting and have experienced of working with older people and dementia care. You will hold an NVQ Level 3 as a minimum, ideally Level 4 or be working towards and you will hold a RM award or be willing to work towards this. You will be an effective leader and be able to communicate with people at all levels.
