I am currently recruiting for a Home Manager on a Contract basis for 6-7 months initially, the role does have the opportunity to become permanent following this for the right candidate.
The role will be to manage a small residential care home for people with profound learning disabilities.

The Position:
This is a challenging position where you will be working alongside a small staff team who deliver specialist care for service users.

Working alongside the support team you will ensure that:
-You take responsibility for support staff, in taking decisions around the day to day running of the house
-Provide effective supervision for Senior Support Workers and Support workers
-Referrals are managed successfully
-Staff rotas completed on a weekly basis
-Identify training needs for existing staff
-Deliver training to new staff and existing staff – both in induction and developmental
-To participate, where appropriate, in planning and meeting physical, intellectual, social and emotional care needs of each service user. This will include dealing with behavioural difficulties and vulnerabilities, participating in the development of care plans, attendance and involvement in service user case reviews and conferences at all times in a person centred way.
-To report instances of poor practice and any matters affecting the safety or well-being of service users
-You will take responsibility for budgets

The Person:
-Qualified with a minimum NVQ Level 4 in Health & Social care, the right person will come from a similar setting, working within a Learning Disability residential background.
-You will be committed to maintaining equal opportunities
