HR Assistant
Based in Reading

One of the UK’s leading independent professional services companies is currently recruiting for an intelligent and well organised HR Assistant at their Reading office. Reporting to the Regional HR Advisor, your role would entail supporting the Regional HR team in the delivery of a professional and consistent HR service across the South region, with particular focus on the Reading and Guildford offices.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and confident individual to join one of the UK’s leading firms. You will act as the first point of contact for line managers who are seeking advice, guidance and support on a range of basic HR issues, including holidays, policies, contracts, benefits and training. Other key responsibilities will include coordinating Assessment Centres, assisting with recruitment, reviewing offer letters, managing the starters/leavers process, monitoring probationary reviews, managing the sickness absence recording and monitoring process, as well as benchmarking and research projects for the region.

The role will involve regular travel to the company’s Guildford office.

The ideal candidate for the role will be an intelligent and degree-educated individual with experience providing a high standard of support in a busy HR environment. Study towards or having obtained the CPP/CIPD qualification would be desirable. You must be well organised with the ability to prioritise a varied workload and work to tight deadlines, with excellent attention to detail. You will be a strong communicator with good IT skills and able to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision.
