One of the UK’s leading independent professional services companies is currently recruiting for an intelligent and well organised HR Assistant at their Birmingham office. Reporting to the Regional HR Manager and working alongside a team of HR Advisors, you would play an important role in delivering a professional and consistent HR service across the company’s Midlands and central offices, with a particular focus on Birmingham and Milton Keynes.
Your role would focus on HR administration, co-ordination of recruitment, provision of management information/analysis, and basic HR advice. You will be tasked with…
o Acting as the first point of contact for line managers who are seeking guidance and support on a range of basic HR issues (staff performance, policies, contracts, benefits, training)
o Coordinating Assessment Centres
o Reviewing offer letters, managing the starters/leavers process, monitoring probationary reviews, managing the sickness absence recording and monitoring process
o Assisting with benchmarking and research projects as and when required
The ideal candidate for the role will be an intelligent and degree-educated individual with experience providing a high standard of support in a busy and fast-paced HR environment. Experience within a professional or financial services environment would be preferred, while CIPD qualification / part-qualification would also be desirable. You must be well organised with the ability to prioritise a varied workload and work to tight deadlines, with excellent attention to detail.
You will be well organised and hard-working, with a flexible and proactive approach plus excellent problem solving skills. You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to liaise and build relationships at many levels.
With almost 3500 partners and staff across 34 offices generating a fee income of over £300 million, and having recently undergone an exciting rebrand, you would be joining one of the 3 principal mid-market accountancy firms at a particularly interesting time.
