We’re looking for a Team Manager to work for our client, tasked with managing the HR and recruitment support teams at their Newcastle Head Office.

You would join the Central People team and work closely with the People Support Team Leaders, overseeing the delivery of an efficient, effective and customer focused service to colleagues across Retail, Supply and Head Office. Reporting into the People Manager this role will play a crucial role in managing all transactional processes to continue to develop a high performing team in line with company culture.


The Role:
– Manage and motivate the People Support Centre in the delivery of a People and Recruitment transactional service
– Support the development of a customer-focused function that meets SLAs and KPIs
– Ensure consistency of processes and procedures across the business
– Monitor and evaluate productivity and quality within the team, with a view to identifying ways to improve.
– Coach and develop Team Leaders, ensuring they reach their potential and performance in developing the team
– Motivates and encourages the team and ensure a diverse and inclusive culture is built and encouraged
– Builds relationship with Internal stakeholders, Line Managers, Recruitment Managers and People Advisers
– Act as a point of escalation for issues ensuring these are resolved appropriately


The Candidate:
– A passion and demonstrable skill for first class, professional customer service
– Experience of managing and motivating large teams
– Good knowledge and experience of HR Practices
– IT proficient (including Excel and PowerPoint)
– Confident managing data; ability to understand and analyse statistical data and producing reports
– Ability to organise and prioritise a workload, across a team, to meet deadlines
– Flexible and adaptable approach, enabling full support to the team
– Strong understanding of GDPR and Data Subject Access Requests


The Package:
Salary circa £35,000.
