Our client is a leading provider of independent Java middleware support and consultancy. Due to expansion they are currently recruiting an experienced I.T Business Development Manager to join their team.

The role of the IT Business Development Manager

  • Generate support contract leads through active prospecting
  • Work with Marketing Manager to create events/content attractive to your prospects
  • Research and monitor customers through active communications
  • Build relationships with prospects, understand their challenges and needs
  • Qualify and nurture marketing qualified leads through to point of sale
  • Negotiate support contracts with customers and Head of Support
  • Close support deals to meet targets
  • Prepare contracts for handover to Head of Support and Client Service Manager
  • Ensure CRM is up-to-date and accurate
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and reporting

The Candidate

The perfect candidate for the IT Business Development Manager role will have the following qualities and experience:

  • Proven track record of success in IT new business B2B sales
  • Preferably experience in selling IT managed services or IT support
  • Be a natural communicator with excellent written and verbal English
  • Be able to develop and build relationships across the business and with customers
  • Enjoy working with a small team to achieve sales targets and business growth
  • Be proactive, enthusiastic, multi-tasking, and be able to work on own initiative
