IT Helpdesk Technician
Based in Castle Donington, Derby

The leading independent firm of business advisors to private business across the East Midlands are currently recruiting for a Helpdesk Technician at their Castle Donington office. The company are fast becoming the largest Regional Microsoft Dynamics provider in the region as well as a Microsoft 365 Champion, and as part of their fast-paced IT team you would be tasked with providing efficient 1st and 2nd line IT support to external clients.

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your IT career as well as put your skills and expertise to use within a dynamic leading firm. You would be responsible for fault monitoring and troubleshooting as well as providing Remote Server, Workstation and network infrastructure support, ensuring that all completed work is recorded and that a high standard of service is delivered at all times.

Occasional site visits may be required to carry out some installation work. Hours of work are 37.5 hours per week however, out of hours support may be required.

The ideal candidate for the role must have excellent IT Support skills in 1st and 2nd line support with a good knowledge of Microsoft products including Server 2003 or higher, Exchange Server and Active directory administration. You must also be able to demonstrate a good understand of networking protocols such as DNS, DHCP and TCP/IP, plus a willingness to learn new technologies. A Microsoft Certified Professional qualification in a Microsoft server or desktop operating system is desirable but not essential.

You will have an enthusiastic personality with a flexible attitude and must be able to demonstrate a real passion for IT. You will be a well organised and flexible individual with strong communication skills and excellent problem solving and analytical ability.
