My client is the UK’s leading provider of compliance and business support services and is a highly reputable multi award-winning company. Established in 2002, they have successfully managed numerous businesses and accumulated significant profits on their behalf through their membership scheme. Their IT Department is small but effective and they are looking for an enthusiastic IT Manager to lead it.

The Position

They have several major exciting projects coming up for which they need an entry-level IT Manager – this is the perfect position for you to make the transition from technical specialist into management. Whilst you’ll still be hands-on, one of the key parts of your role will be to monitor and manage the day to day support activities of the Group’s 3rd party providers and provide man-on-site assistance to those providers when necessary. You’ll also be responsible for implementing and managing technical projects and delivering the ICT strategy & vision.

Key Responsibilities

As an entry-level IT Manager it would be great if you have some of the following experience, ideally in-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Technology Stack as well as Networking technologies :

  • Management and maintenance of the IT & Communications Environment
  • Achieving uptime and service effectiveness
  • Reviewing and measuring network performance
  • Proposing and implementing a proactive development plan
  • Achieving best-value from our suppliers
  • Ensuring a robust and responsive end-user support service for all staff through
  • Managing & maintaining an effective Helpdesk.
