Position: IT Supplier Relationship Manager/Contracts Manager
Location: Birmingham, West Midlands
Salary: £38,000 to £43,000
Benefits: Pension, Bonus 10%
We are looking for an experienced ITIL qualified Supplier Relationship Manager to join a major FTSE 250 company based in Birmingham close to New Street and Moor Street Station.
You will take ownership and manage 50 suppliers, 35 of which are considered to be core suppliers ensuring that they deliver to SLA. You will also manage the contracts, altering existing ones and issuing new ones in conjunction with legal and business sponsors ensuring suppliers are managed through to completion as part of the on-boarding process.
The Role
You will work as an integral part of the IT Services Management Team taking ownership for and managing 3rd party IT Supplier relationships.
You will develop and maintain good working relationships and interactions between the Business units, Third Party suppliers and IT Department as well as ensure third party suppliers deliver service in line with business expectation and contractual obligations with adherence to agreed service levels.
You will also ensure where Service Levels are not met that the mechanism to invoke service credits or other penalty clauses adhered to.
Where new services are acquired you will act as the link between the Business units, IT Department and Third Party suppliers ensuring that contractual negotiations are managed effectively with clear definition of service level agreements with the best interests of business stakeholders considered and awareness of budgetary spend available.
You will also manage the IT Procurement team of two people and ensure that all software and hardware assets are identified and maintained.
Your key accountabilities will include: Software Asset Management, Contract Management, Supplier Management/Service Transition as well as Change Management
Key Experience Required
We are looking for someone that has worked for a large end user company and is experienced in managing the IT services that are delivered to the various business units within that company via multiple suppliers.
You will also have experience of managing and implementing contracts and ensuring that SLA’s are met by suppliers coupled with experience of managing a small team.
You will need to be ITIL qualified as they work in an ITIL environment currently
