We are currently helping one of the UK’s largest and busiest airports recruit for an experienced and intelligent IT Technical Support Analyst. We’re looking for a person with excellent technical skills, gained over a number of years within a commercial environment, but also the social skills, initiative and energy to be a first class ambassador for the IT Services Department.

You would be responsible for fault monitoring and troubleshooting as well as providing Remote Server, Workstation and network infrastructure support, ensuring that all completed work is recorded and that a high standard of service is delivered at all times.

You will also be required to manage the company’s analogue voice system on a day-to-day basis. You will be tasked with monitoring the voice and data connections outside of the local area network, and recommending different approaches and engaging with suppliers to find the best solution for the Airport. You will also meet with other departments, on-site companies and external companies where you will be expected to be one of the airport’s experts in IT Infrastructure.

The ideal candidate for the role will be an experienced Network Engineer with a good knowledge of Microsoft products. You must also be able to demonstrate a willingness to learn new technologies. A Microsoft Certified Professional qualification in a Microsoft server or desktop operating system is desirable but not essential.

You will have an enthusiastic personality with a flexible attitude and must be able to demonstrate a real passion for IT. You will be a well organised and flexible individual with strong communication skills and excellent problem solving and analytical ability.
